God works in Wonderous Ways

Oh Jen,

The news you gave today was sad, so sad, but yet, it also brought with it, joy and hope. The power to turn a frown into a smile came with this bad news, and for this we should rejoice.

Not too long ago a little kitty came to your house unannounced and unexpected. She came into your home like she lived there, was welcomed by your other pets as if she had always been there. Even Rocky, the ferocious feline, welcomed her as a sister. That little kitty loved and cuddled with your children as if they needed it more than she.

Funny too, how much she looks like a cherished cat from your past too, almost as if to prevent in you, the slightest doubt, whether to keep her or not. You were also tested a few days later, when yet another little stranger showed up at your door. This one was wild and weak, but yet you took her in too and gave her the love you would your own child. You did this even though you knew that little rabbit would most likely not survive. But you gave her warmth and love to help her pass, far better than to lay outside alone in the cold, her mother lost and never coming back. You Sister, took in this creature because she asked you to, by ending up at your door.

Now today God has revealed His plan. Poor Rocky, the ferocious feline was struck down by a car. Maybe he knew it was his time, so much so, he loved the new kitty just like your family. He may have been waiting, for God had commanded. God knew how much Rockies loss would bring pain and remorse. God knew the suffering would be hard to bear, so He sent that little one to help repair. God also tested you to see if you were worthy. You and your family did show to God that you try to live as He has commanded so He knew you were ready.

Jen I'm so sorry for your loss today!

Pat

Thanks Sassy! I couldn't comment after I first read it because I was crying. He wrote this beautifully. It's been hard, especially on the kids...and all the questions. Death is a part of life and they have learned this from this experience. N took this especially hard. Penelope is helping us deal with the pain. She misses him too. Mewing at night looking for him. Sad so sad..
