Farewell April...Welcome May

Well, another month has flown by and I bid this month farewell. I've had enough of the cold, snow covered terrain. I want to see the beautiful song birds and my flowers bloom. I want to get out into my garden and start sowing the seeds to my vegetable garden.

I also have a special request...."Please, God...No more baby animals." Yes, they are very cute and in need of care, but I have enough responsibilities. There is a great farm down the road from me (sorry Trish.) The baby bunny didn't survive and my kids were pretty upset. It's hard to hand me a wild bunny so young. A very delicate balance, one in which I couldn't tip towards continued life. We tried, the kids and I. Oh, and we LOVE Penelope and Rocky now has a playmate; but, please two felines is enough -OK?

The photos above are to introduce you to our newest member, Penny. Also, our infamous April snowstorm. The lower bottom is absolutely incredible. They depict a two week time span showing my Birch trees and forsythia bushes out front of the garage. I really thought I would loose the trees. They bent all the way to the ground, but as you can see...they survived! Oh course, I had to share Jake's latest work of art. He loves to paint and he is very creative as you can see.

Well, all I have left to say is WELCOME MAY!!!

New Life

CREED LYRICS
"With Arms Wide Open"

Well I just heard the news today. It seems my life is going to change.
I closed my eyes, begin to pray. Then tears of joy stream down my face.
With arms wide open, under the sunlight.
Welcome to this place. I'll show you everything
With arms wide open..With arms wide open

Well I don't know if I'm ready to be the man I have to be
I'll take a breath, I'll take her by my side.
We stand in awe, we've created life.
With arms wide open..Under the sunlight
Welcome to this place, I'll show you everything.
With arms wide open...Now everything has changed
I'll show you love, I'll show you everything
With arms wide open...With arms wide open
I'll show you everything...oh yeah. With arms wide open..wide open.

If I had just one wish. Only one demand.
I hope he's not like me. I hope he understands
That he can take this life and hold it by the hand.
And he can greet the world with arms wide open...
With arms wide open under the sunlight.
Welcome to this place, I'll show you everything.
With arms wide open

Now everything has changed. I'll show you love
I'll show you everything with arms wide open.
With arms wide open, I'll show you everything
..oh yeah. With arms wide open....wide open

Congratulations Pete & Stacy

A Baby Boy

7 lb, 9 ounces of love

Sent straight from heaven up above, came an angel for me to love. To hold and rock and kiss good night. To wrap my arms around real tight. To cuddle & nurture and watch him play. To kiss his boo-boo's all away. To keep him safe and warm & count all his toes. To hold the tissue for him when he blows his little nose. To laugh at his jokes, to clap as he sings. To tell him all the joy in my life that he brings. To clean up his play dough, to pull his legos apart. To pin up his drawings and tell him it's art. To watch his first day of school on the bus all alone. To fight back the tears as I make my way back home. To applaud real loud when he's in his first play. To help him with his homework at the end of his day. To adore & cherish and watch him grow. To guide and teach him all that I know. To see him through good times & help him through bad. To share in his happiness and cry when he's sad. To hold him close and be by his side. To watch him through life as my heart fills with pride. To help him with decisions, the best that I can. To know that someday he'll be a fine young man.

We are so happy for you.

We look forward to meeting your little Angel.

Love, Jen

Luck Brother

Sis,

You ask a tough question to answer....I think there really is no answer. There is no reason for these things to happen, nothing, just sensless violence. There is a disease that has been on earth as long as humans have walked it. Funny, you know, we seem to be the only species that does this kind of thing. I wish I knew the answer too.

Funny this world we live in. There is so much for everyone, yet it's not enough, or we wont share it with anyone. We can all live together in peace, it can be done. But, still, we dont. We are lucky here in america, because we dont live this type of thing daily. Many, many in other places in this world are confronted with it each and every day. Even in those places, there are those that work hard to scratch out a living without killing or hurting someone else. Why we all cant just see this, quit the bullshit, and love your neighboor like yourself. And, if you dont love yourself, then open your arms and mind and let someone in to help you....just like my sister.

Love you Sis......

Why?

I'm sure the whole world is asking why.... While I was bitching about our awful weather here in CNY, this was going on. Our weather is so insignificant. What drives people to do such things? Why can't people in circumstances such as this resolve their problems peacefully. I can't make any conclusions because I do not understand this type of thinking, or this kind of mental illness. History is showing us that this type of behavior is only getting worse. I feel so bad for all the students involved, all the parents and Professors. This is will never abandon them. God Bless everyone involved and I hope that someday they will heal from this awful tragedy.

Immediate Help for Wheezing

Boil 1 tea. of Liocrice root in a cip of water for a couple of minutes to make a tea. Just before drinking add 1/2 tea of ghee. Take a sip every 5 -10 minutes.
Sometime this might make you vomit - which is a good thing. The vomiting helps to reduce the excess muscus that has built up and the spasm of the bronchial tubes. If vomiting happens they should feel better right away.
Don't use if you have hypertension.
Prepare this tea as soon as you feel symptoms occuring.
Once the tea is made you can keep it in the fridge for 72 hours.

It's almost time to harevest Colts foot....Brian & I saw the baby leaves sprouting out of the ground while walking.
We'll have to have her roll in it.

I'll keep my eyes open for other remedies!!
Naomi

The King of Culture

Yes, I most definitely am the king of culture. Straight from poetry sessions with Hank LaFlamm to your living room, comes the King of Culture bringing you: Storm King.

If you're ever in the Catskills area for a mt climbing excursion, or to see an Army football game, or or just on your way to/fro NYC that you check out this huge sculpture garden. These are two of about 80 sculptures there. The one in the background is as big as an At-At.

There, now don't you feel edified?
